In the Likely Event

Rebecca Yarros is the author of six stand-alone romance novels, including In the Likely Event, as well as four romantic series and a fantasy series. Yarros’s books have received multiple starred reviews in Publisher’s Weekly magazine, including her fantasy novel, Fourth Wing. Her romance novel, Muses and Melodies, made it to 112 on USA Today’s bestseller list. The Last Letter was also listed as one of the best romance novels of 2019 by Kirkus Reviews.

Yarros is the mother of four boys and two girls, and because she is also the wife of a military hero, the appearance of soldiers as protagonists is a common theme in many of her novels. As an adoptive mother, Yarros believes strongly in adoption and has begun a non-profit called One October to support current and potential adoptive parents. Yarros loves John Hughes movies, playing the guitar, and watching the Mets from her comfortable home in Colorado. In addition to the release of In the Likely Event in 2023, Yarros released a sequel to Fourth Wing, a novel called Iron Wing, in May of the same year.
